Thoughts on: DJ Models 2014 Range

A few days ago DJ Models announced their 2014 Range. Four locomotives have been confirmed and will be in 00 Gauge and N Gauge forms. But what are those models exactly?

Warning: The opinions in this blog are soley that of my own and don't affect DJ Models or anyone else in the community

Firstly was an LNER Q6

The Q6 has been a model people have cried out for a very long time the only models on the market was white metal kits but no ready to run models have been produced of this class until now. It will be in both LNER and BR liveries. I may get one but i'll wait to see how they look once released.

A Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0ST has also been confirmed

I dare say this is another model people have been waiting for to be released in ready to run for ages. Don't really plan on getting one myself but it will be interesting to see how they turn out.

For Diesels they firstly announced a class 59

class 59s have already been on the market made by Lima and Hornby though im rather hoping these models will be super detailled. Limas was basic and Hornbys are okay for what you get but to have a super detail one will be a popular seller indeed. Its a shame Hornby didn't make the NP livery one seen in the photo above but depending how it turns out i may get the one in NP livery.

And lastly is the class 71

I think the only model of this class of loco on the market was the Silver Fox model though that model was basic by looking at it in photos. Having this on a layout certainly will make it interesting. Im interested to see if it will be super detail too.

As for the N Gauge models.... well theres no point in giving my thoughts on them they are the same locos as the 00 Gauge ones.
