the reason for selling these items is because i haven't used them very much now unlike i used too. they both run very well.

The collector club 06 shunter 06008 is in mint condition with no scratches or marks at all

whilst 06003 in BR Blue Livery is in good condition and has a Crack in one of the rear buffers and one of the white posts on the side is missing.

the money made from selling these items will go towards the Heljan class 28 CoBo im saving up for

I think i may have already announced this briefly in the last Blog i did but i will just announce it again but in more detail (well sort of) :P

Basically im currently saving up for a Heljan class 28 CoBo Diesel

The one in particular im getting is D5705 which is the one that is actually Preserved being the soul survivor of this class :D

okay yes there are other class 38s on Hattons but this is the one i want out of all of them.

However it will be atleast 4 weeks until i get it why? because even though i get EMA (no saying how much i get though i may have said at one point) it have done my Maths so thats how i know although im selling some of mah old toys on Ebay such as Robot Wars, BattleBots etc etc i may get it earlier but who knows though we will have to see :P

but i will be getting this so in the meantime enjoy the other reviews i have put up cause the review of this when i get it won't come till atleast after 4 weeks.

but look on the brightside this can be a special video for 226 Subscribers which i have now reached.

Uploading videos from old tapes and other announcements

well i have been fidling about with an idea recently and i have decided to uploaded videos from Old Tapes from when i was a child. but of course only uploading train videos i have a decent amount so why not upload videos from the 90s or early 2000's it will be nice to have a look back.

the first of videos will be from 2001 when we visited the Isle of Wight where i will upload some videos of the Island Line Tube Trains in Dinosaur Liver aswell as the IOW Steam Railway.

anyways now some general announcements i am will at some point start to save up for the Hornby Northern Belle Train Pack (despite it being a Pre Order) along with those i shall also get the Coach Pack and 47802 to go with 47790 and the Northern Belle.

along with these items there are other things i plan to get this year aswell as the 2012 wagon.

theres 87019 which would go nicely with my Hornby class 86 Caledonian.

then there may be the Diamond Jubilee Royal Train pack that comes with Britannia

Then theres what im currently saving up for the Heljan class 28 CoBo Diesel MetroVick (or MetroPolitian Vickers).

and aswell as a few more items.

Virgin class 47 arrives on my Door Mat!

today when i camehome from school i was pleased that a Brown Parcel had arrived on my Door Mat.

the first thing i did when i came home was not only take a photo but open it up :P

then we come down to the BubbleWrap which was taped to the box of the Locomotive but i was able to get the BubbleWrap of all the same.

and what came out of the BubbleWrap was my Virgin Trains class 47 trust me this has arrived but i didn't take a photo of the actual locomotive that is why im using this photo. and a review of this loco is now on YouTube and this loco adds to my fleet of class 47s in which im going to have btw.

Well folks over the weekend i should hopefully get the videos of Water Orton and Tamworth up so keep your eyes peeled i also have a Model Railway video coming up too!!!!

now although it is a little early to be announcing this but this Year i will have been on YouTube for 5 years now last year i did a video for those who subscribed watched the videos and friends this year im deciding what to comemerate for this year. well the plan is to do something class 47 related since they are my top favourite diesel of all time shall i covert all old footage of class 47s i have on tapes when i was little and filmed in the good old days or have a video showing my fleet of class 47s and running them or both?

speaking of class 47s im going to be having my own fleet of class 47s on my Model Railway by buying different ones in different liveries.

also in May im hoping to go to the Nene Valley Railway for the first time for their Diesel Gala mainly because i will be able to see a class 56 in action for the first time since 2008! as 56091 newly acquired from DCR will (provisionally) be attending it hasn't been finalised yet but i hope so.

Network Rail Structure Gauging Train Project part 3 and Anouncements

aswell as showing the near completed Network Rail Structure Gauging Train i will be posting a few announcements on here :)

but first its the Structure Gauging Train.

Yesterday not one but two parcels arrive on my DoorMat what is inside them?

well one of them was the Airfix MK2 Brake Coach

And the Triang MK1 Brake Coach in Maroon Livery

first i worked on the MK2 Brake by removing the chassis and the windows.

Then i masked the areas where the Yellow Paint should not go.

applying the first coat of Network Rail Sunshine Yellow

followed by the second coat!

And not long after the Transfers arrive :D

i put the first two Transfers in a Dish of water (the water must not be too deep)

I apply the two Transfers on the first coach i ever did

and i apply another two Transfers on the second coach i did

so that means these two coaches are now finally finished.

back to the MK2 Brake we then tape the sides of the coach to protect them whilst painting the roof.

The roof now painted with the Network Rail Roof Grey paint.

and heres what it looks like after the tape was removed.

now on one of the ends of the coaches tape was added to be painted a blue-grey sort
of colour.

and this is the paint i'll be using its basically for one of the ends of the MK1 AND MK2 coaches and the optical car like you see on the real thing.

okay the paint may not like exactly perfect but it is very close to the colour of the Optical Car and the ends of the coaches so thats all that matters perfect isn't everything you know LOL.

so here it is when the tape is removed its a very neat job indeed no paint has run down the sides thankfully :)

and the windows are added back in which btw the windows where the Blue paint .

is where also painted to match.

and the body is fixed to the chassis yes i did add the Transfers on which will be covered in a short while.

Now for some work on the MK1 Brake again the the previous MK1 Brake it comes apart like the other one by removing screws and the sides come out.

The first coat of Network Rail Sunshine Yellow is added.

Back to the MK2 Brake the Transfers are now finally added.

and so this make it the third coach that is completed.

and here are the three completed coaches pictured on the layout ready for work.

Going back to the MK1 Brake after a second coat of Sunshine Yellow the windows are painted Black.

and then its fixed to the chassis and the roof is added at last.

and then one of the ends is painted just like the MK2.

and yes i have completed this coach and transfers have been added but the computer fails to show the photos in the photo folder but trust me this coach is finished.

now for the announcements firstly the Optical Car will not be done just yet at this moment in time as i have to buy a Bauxite van to convert it which will happen at some point.

also today i went to Tamworth which was awesome so hopefully i will have to videos aswell as the ones from Water Orton uploaded over the weekend.

also i have won this Virgin Trains class 47 off Ebay :D

Network Rail Structure Gauging Train Project part 2 and news

right heres part 2 of the Network Rail Structure Gauging Train Project which im so far really pleased with =D

well here is the coach i began working on yesterday if you remember yesterdays Blog anyway here we have the sides of the coach masked up ready to paint the roof this will prevent the paint dripping down the sides of the coach and spoiling it.

now here is the roof painted using Phoenix Precision Network Rail Roof Grey.

and here it is im really pleased with the paint as there are now brush lines are signs of the paint peeling off also the job is perfect as no Grey paint is visible on the actual coach :D

Right then the parcel mentioned in Yesterdays blog was picked up today what could be inside it?

and its one of the two BR MK1 Brake coaches in Maroon Livery!

and here it is out of the box in its current Maroon livery which will not last ;)

and here are the White Wheel Trims which i think makes the wheels stand out more :P

taken the coach apart weren't as easy as i thought it would be basically i had to remove two screws from underneath which allowed the sides of the coach to come out as you can see here!

the sides of the coach are painted using RailMatch Network Rail Sunshine Yellow the windows will be painted black later like they are meant to be.

Then the roof was painted using Network Rail Roof Grey again im really pleased with the paint.

The First coach is now almost finished with the small windows painted Black and the body fixed back onto the chassis all i need now is to wait for the Transfers to arrive.

Heres another shot of the coach again i still need the Transfers before this is finished.

on the second coach the windows are now painted Black like they are supposed to be in real life.

then the coach was put back together was was just as difficult as it was when taking it apart.

and there we have it two almost finish Network Rail Structure Gauging Train coaches.

right now for some news basically today when i went for 31190 working the DB SCHENKER Route Learner it didn't show up which means no video :O

but there is still Friday when im off to Tamworth ;)

back from Water Orton and starting on Network Rail Structure Gauging Train project

well i have come back from Water Orton the weather was cold but the chips from the Fish Bar were nice :Pand yes i have some videos to upload but they won't be on today i will hopefully upload them tomorrow when i have more time and tomorrow is also when i got to Bescot to see 31190 with the Route Learner i mentioned in the last blog :)

but here is something to make the blog more interesting when i got home i was greated with a package along with a note saying we have to pick up another package.

in it was the Railmatch Network Rail Sunshine Yellow and Phoenix Precision Network Rail Roof Grey from Fox Transfers im not sure what the Phoenix Precision paint will be like as i haven't had that sort of paint before but i think it will be just as good as Humbrol, RailMatch etc

here they are when still in the BubbleWrap

this is the first coach to be painted into Network Rail Sunshine Yellow for the Structure Gauging Train i already had this coach but i will buy more BR Blue coaches to make a full BR Blue rake sometime in the future besides this will get more use :P

first we had to remove the chassis from underneath the seats are screwed to the chassis and we leave the windows in as they are to be painted yellow like they are in real life.

next i masked the areas where Yellow paint should not go mainly the roof, the corridor gangways and the small windows where the doors are.

now this is where the RailMatch paint comes in LOL

although this photo doesn't show it i have mixed the paint up (why because your supposed too)

this required two coats of paint here is the first coat.

and here it is ontop of the fishtank in the living room where its warm so the paint can dry you will have to ignore the fact i have left a part Blue that was painted Yellow later =)

here it is with its second coat of paint and now its by the fire guard to mkae it dry better i also gave the other side a second coat of paint too.

now here it is about to have the masking taken off!

and here it is with the masking off and now i haven't painted the roof yet as i have yet to piant it so excuse excess paint on the roof it won't be visible when the roof is Network Rail Roof Grey.

and this is the amount of Masking Tape that was used ROFL

so thats it the next step won't be done till tomorrow im afraid its all due to time

Trainspotting Trips in Half Term Holidays!

well this week there are a few trips planned for Trainspotting firstly we have a visit to Water Orton tomorrow it will be the first visit to Water Orton in ages plus theres the Fish Bar which we will also be going to while there besides every time we have visited Water Orton we have always been to the Fish Bar.

then of course Wednesday will be visiting Bescot for 31190 which will be working a Route Learner (in fact its working all week inbetween Monday and Friday)

then either on Thursday or Friday theres a visit to Tamworth which i recommend you visit because you get lots of interesting photos and videos there and theres a High Level and Low Level and thats something none of the other stations on the Trent Valley have :D

so as you can see theres some exciting visits and videos to lookforward too in the meantime enjoy the latest video i have uploaded of a Model Railtour the GridIron Explorer.

yes this is an Airfix BR MK2 brake coach bought off Ebay all i need no is a BR Bauxite van to hopefully be converted into the optical car (but i won't get it yet) possibly either next week or the week after.

well today i have bought a heap of items for my Network Rail Structure Gauging Train

first theres the Railmatch Network Rail Sunshine yellow paint and the Network Rail Roof Grey paint by Phoenix Precisions (a company i have never heard of before) but i think the paint will be just as good :)

then theres the Network Rail Transfers in Various Sizes bought off Ebay

next there are Two Triang Maroon Brake Coaches

one of them as the rims on wheels painted white and the inside of the coach painted a white colour which won't be visible anyway when i paint the glazing black.

and the other coach has no rims on the wheels painted white but the inside of the coach is painted a white colour again that won't be visible when the glazing is blacked out :)

now all i need is a Bauxite van to be turned into the Optical car and a MK2 brake coach and some grey - blue paint for the optical car and for on of the ends on the coaches and thats that i will be doing updates of the progress on it on the blog :D

00 Gauge Network Rail Structure Gauging train project and class 47 buffers have arrived

well firstly the buffers for the class 47 Dionysos arrived yesterday and the review has been made and will be up soon but i can't exactly say when i will put it up you will just have to be paitent.

also im planning a Model Project similar to the Stobart Pullman project i did some years ago this one will be much different altogether.

i will be making the Network Rail Structure Gauging Train

the reason for this is so that i can have my own test train on my layout. what i will be doing is buying some mk1 and mk2 coaches some Network Rail transfers, Network Rail paint and a Bauxite van to be converted into the optical car thats in the middle of the train.

and who knows i may even consider getting the Hornby Network Rail class 31 that was released last year :D

this afternoon when i come home from school im greated with a small parcel (which has now been put in the bin) i opened it up expecting it to buffers for my class 47 Dionysos however there was only one buffer.

turns out the the website we got it from were selling them seperately in a pack of one due to us not actually reading it up properly by mistake of course.

however we have bought some off ebay which means until the arrive i will not do the review of Dionysos so you will have to wait.

The Hornby Northern Belle Train Pack is at a price at £115 which is a good price considering this loco has Sprung Buffers and Extensive Detail aswell as three coaches. i will now start to save up for the Train Pack, then the coach pack and then 47802 that is in the RailRoad Range im just excited about the realses of these items.

Chassis now fitted!

well two blogs in one day eh!

well this is just something just to show you more of some of the new items i got today.

Firstly i have fitted the new chassis to 41221 which has been out of service since 2007 but it is now back in buisness and has now returned to full working order and i shal be doing a video of this engine with 41241 my other Ivatt tank engine. The chassis has a slight weathered look but that does not really matter as it makes it look realistic.

i have also fitted the class 47 body onto the class 47 chassis which is made by Hornby and has couplings that are similar to the NEM ones. the body has no Buffers but i have some boxes from my VItrains and Heljian class 47s and they had spare buffers so i will hopefully fit those onto this loco.

                     well thats it for now still doing some stuff with the other new items.

Items from The Stafford Model Railway Exhibition

well i have just come back from the Stafford Model Railway Exhibition and it was actually pretty cool and yes i shall be uploading a video and yes i did bring back some items with me.

First off we have a couple of Leaflets mainly of preserved railways and two for the Llangollen Railways Steel Steam and Stars III gala this year!

A packet of not one, not two but five Pipettes don't ask me why i got five cause i wasn't the one that bought them my mom did :P

A tube of Backdrops not sure how many is in it but it is heavy though.

A new chassis for one of my Ivatts 262T Tank Engines

Some Hornby Skaledale Lamps and Big Bins

A Hornby class 47 Bodyshell this one is Dianysos the buffers aren't on the body but they might be inside wrapped up as i haven't opened it up yet but you may ask why have i bought this well.

That is why i have bought a Hornby class 47 Chassis which will be for this loco.

Stafford Model Railway Exhibition tomorrow and BlackPool Tram how to video

Cancelled reviews and other updates

well since its the last day of January and haven't posted much on the Blog thought i would share a couple of announcements.

firstly i have decided that the reviews of Airfix LMS 4F Fowler and Hornby GWR 14xx i was gonna do are now not going to happen why because i can't find the time and since its now 2012 i just think its now not worth reviewing some items i got for christmas last year. however i will still be doing other reviews but just not of Airfix 4F or the GWR 14xx class.

anyways this weekend is the Stafford Model Railway exhibition and yes i shall be going to it i will be going on the Saturday since i can't go Sunday and i shall be filming it and i will put up a video unless i split it.

this aint the first time i have been to an Exhibition but didn't bother filming the last one i went to. and who knows maybe i will bring something back since i am getting this weeks pocket money but im not too sure at the moment.

anyway Must go cheerio!

The First Corgi BlackPool Tram gets motorised!

well i haven't done a blog in ages but this one will be about the first BlackPool Tram in my collection that will be motorised.

i so far have three Corgi BlackPool Trams and i will be getting more however the project is to get them motorised which will happen first before getting more trams.

basically i have bought a Bachmann PCC Trolley (the motor which is put into Corgi BlackPool Trams for those that motorise them) and i will put it into one of my trams if successful more will be motorised but i would have thought it will be very successful indeed.

but which tram will be the first to get Motorised well i have already decided and that one is.

The Corgi BlackPool Royal Mail Tram (which is a limited edition and has a certificate) but why have i chosen this one. well thats because this one is my favourite one so far out of the trams i have got so far.

so thats all i have time for today for this blog but do keep you mits open as i plan to do a how to video on putting motors into Corgi BlackPool Trams.

Hornby 2012 Range Thoughts

well this is a blog im making on my thoughts on the Hornby 2012 Range Products.

well my thoughts are simply amazing and impressive it was definately well worth the wait till today for them to be released instead of the 25th december 2011.The Diamond Jubilee Trainset is interesting as not only does it come with a Gold Plated 6201 Queen Elizabeth(Lizzie) it marks the celebration of the Diamond Jubilee this year. The Double Tender Bittern is also quite interesting aswell maybe they should do one next year of Dominion of New Zealand. there is just alot of suprises to look forward to this year including the New Super Detail class 67 this example shown is in DB SCHENKER livery.

one thing thats interesting is the Hornby 2012 Club Model its simply the tooling of that used for the 2009 model i mean why coudn't they have used a different model for this year.

this loco is called Queen Elizabeth II and has the number 60 on it possibly to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee however so many years ago we already had a Queen Elizabeth II model and carried the number 80 that was a simple 0f Pug locomotive. i think that they should have used that model and gave it this livery and Number or they could have atleast used a different model either the class 06 or the locomotive they use as Little Giant.

apart from that though the 2012 Range is still superb and as a matter of fact i will defenately be getting some of the models from the 2012 Range here they are Listed.

1. the Network Rail GUV to go with my Lima class 31 as i have plans to have a Network Rail Test Train on my layout.

2. The Hornby 2012 wagon

3. The Hornby Nothern Bell Train Pack

4. Hornby Northern Bell Coach Pack

5. Hornby Northern Belle class 47

Being honest im mostly looking forward to getting the Nothern Bell trainpack, coachpack and the Class 47 why because the Northern Belle is my favourite dining train and the 47s will go really well with my collection of class 47s which is my all time favourite Diesel Locomotive.

another interesting note is that the Hornby class 91 (Intercity 225) has returned this year in East Coast Mainline Flying Scotsman Livery could this be a Retooled version. we will have to wait and see

well im just stopping by to stay Happy New Year to Everyone and i hope and expect new videos from me in 2012. Trainspotting has been really good in 2011 but lets just hope that 2012 is better.

i also want to say that Reviews are now gonna be in HD as i have now found a fix to ajusting the volume to make it higher. so i will start with the Locos i got for my Birthday, then the ones i got for Xmas and so on.

Its My Birthday!

Yep thats right folks Todays my Birthday and today i turned 17 finally i can now drink a Bottle of WKD or at least i think i can anyway :P

anyway i bet your wondering what i got well this is why im gonna show you some photos of the stuff i got and that includes the stuff from Trident Trains.

2. Some Sweets well why who doesn't have sweets on their Birthday

4. a total of 9 Bags of Model Railway scatter you can't see them all but i got one bag out to show ya

5. now for the items from Trident Trains we have a Hornby class 73 Stewats Lane and a class 121 BubbleCar in BR Green with Speed Whiskers im chuffed that they still had it in stock :D

Two Announcements

well im just going to post something up regarding two announcements that i am going to make.

firstly Tomorrow is my Birthday i will be turnin 17 and i will be going back to Trident Trains im just simply excited i can't wait for tomorrow to arrive.

and secondly reviews are currently on hold because the camera i use to make the reviews i.e my dads camera has been sent of for a new disc because the old one is not working properly so until that arrives i can't do reviews but if it does arrive tomorrow i shall be able to do reviewing but i can't promise anything.

so this is me signing off and looking forward to tomorrow

well its now only two days to go until my Birthday arrives , bout time too this year i will be turning 17 and on my Birthday i will be going back to Trident Trains looking forward to going there again and hopefully i shall bring something back with me.

one item i am planning to get hold of is a Hornby BR class 121 BubbleCar in BR Green with Speed Whiskers been trying to get one for a while and when i first visited Trident Trains they had one inside a cabinet outside the shop.

Whether it is still their or not i don't know but i hope it is so i can get it :P besides it will go well with my class 110 DMU which is also in the same livery.

but anyways thats it for now hopefully if i manage to get hold of that class 121 i shall review it but we shall have to wait and see.

Xmas Presents of 2011!

Right well this is a blog i have promised to do showing the stuff i got for Christmas however this is not all of it i have lots of other stuff but it would simply take forever to take photos and put them on here.

so without further or do lets get started.

1. an IPod Nano this is one of my Favourite prezzies i have received also shown are headphones and a cable of some sort.

i did get spending money but i only got £20 because i spent my usual £100 early so i will have to wait until my Birthday next week to see how much money i get.

Well Christmas has now finally arrived it seems to have come fast this year hasn't it.

Bachmann 7739 Pannier Tank Detailing Updates!

well this is just something quick to show you some updates that have been done to my Bachmann Pannier Tank 7739 which was first bought in 2008.

This photo shows what she looked like long before the details were added.

and this is her now you can't see most of the detailing yet but you will do.

a Head Lamp has been added on the front (the headcode reads Stopping Passenger) since i don't intend to use this loco on Freight. the Head Lamp came from a SpringSide GWR Lamp pack.

a few Lamps have also been added on the side of the loco whre the wheel arch is they are there because sometimes some lamps were put on the side of locos.

some detailing has also been added on the rear of the loco first we have some Hammers that have been glued on the coal bunker. the reason for them on their is because they were used to break up any large peices of coal which was a very unpleasent job.

i have also added locomotive tools these came in the detailing pack for the Hornby Battle of Britain Sir Eustace Missenden but decided to put them on the pannier as they suit it more it wasn't easy to put them on BTW but i got there in the end.

and thats it although she isn't quite done yet i want to get some SpringSide Loco Buckets and add a few on 7739 but i can't order any yet though due to the post not running at christmas time but i will get some eventually.

         anyway thats all i have time for today i would have done a YouTube video but i didn't have the time for it due to being busy but atleast i have made a blog about it anyway.

Back from Trident Trains

well as the Blog Title confirms i have just come back from Trident Trains and im just speechless its simply an amazing Model Shop.

with amazing prices, a large selection of locos, wagons, coaches, scenery and buildings and of course being a bigger shop its now my favourite one and i shall be visitng there again im just impressed with it.

when i walked inside i felt as if i was in heaven or somethin (don't ask me why) but they are fare much better than Modellers Mecca because at Trident Trains the prices are more suitable, its bigger and they have more locos so going to Modellers Mecca can now go in the bin where it belongs.

but anyway i bet there are some people wondering out there if i got anything from there well the answer to that is simple and its yes i did.

firstly is a Hornby Battle of Britain (the unrebuilt) version and this one is 34090 Sir Eustace Missenden and this is a loco i've been after for a long time plus its the fourth Southern Region loco i have :D

the other item i got is a Hornby LNER A4 and this one is Golden Plover split from a trainset which i think is called The Queen of Scots since it carries the headboard with that written on it its also tender driven with a new motor fitted and has cab detailing thats painted but i won't say anymore you will have to wait for the review of it tonight in which the a4 will be the first of the two to have a review.

just a small blog to announce some updates that are going on and this is the second blog i've done in a row did on yesterday and now im doing another one nothing wrong with that :L

first off i have changed the chanel design back to the old one i just prefer the old one for some reason they new ones are alright but i like the old one for reasons i can't be bothered to say :P

also tomorrow im off to Water Orton why Water Orton cause they have a Chip shop i mean come on name another place that has a chip shop i can name one and thats no one besides Water Orton :P

and we are going cause we ain't been for a while.

then on Wednesday we will be going to Trident Trains and i may bring something back as i will ghet £60 to take so hah.

and thats about it until next time Merry Xmas since its now only a week away :D

YT new channel design thoughts and visit to Trident Trains

well this will be a blog about two things now this will be the first.

but anyways first lets get the thoughts of the new YouTube Channel Designs out of the way. my thoughts well its brief and blunt and that is not as good as the old ones now don't get me wrong and im not putting YouTube down or anybody else but i prefer the old channel designs to the new ones why? because they are just better plus you can see the channel comments the description page at the sides where as on the new ones you can't so i will change them back to normal very soon as soon as i can find out how since i have mesaged someone hoe to do it XD.

anyways moving onto the next thing to talk about and that is Trident Trains.

well whats to talk about well i will be making two visits this one on on Wednesday next week and one one Friday (not next week but the week after) on my Birthday but why am i going well because it makes a change than going to Modellers Mecca all the time.

now im not criticising them or anything but maybe going to Trident Trains will be more exciting and maybe cheaper because the only things Modellers Mecca have at resonable or cheapish prices are Second Hand items while others are just expensive i could list the prices they do of the items they sell but i'll lets sleeping dogs lie ;)

but i think going to Trident Trains will be very exciting and will be a change as im looking forward to see what it looks like and possibly visitng in the near future although i will be visitng on my Birthday and who knows on Wednesday i may bring something back with me.

Christmas is approaching!

well Christmas is approaching only atleast 14 days (Two Weeks) to go more or less. anyways who is looking forward to Christmas i know i am i mean who doesn't like Christmas........

anyway i would like to take this time to say that this will be the First Christmas without my nan who passed away on October the 28th upsetting i know but im beginning to get over it and she woudn't want us to not celebrate Christmas :'(

but on the plus side im thinking of doing a Xmas video of all the Model Railway stuff i may be getting for Christmas if i of course get any but wether i do a video on Christmas day or not i don'tknow or i may even do a blog but nothings been decided yet.

what i will say is that i will be getting two Locomotives/Engines i of course know what they are but you Don't

so thats why i am thinking of doing reviews of them one possibly on Xmas day and the other reviewed on Boxing Day what do you think please do give me your thoughts.

Thursday BlackPool Trip during Half Term

just a quick Blog to announce that next week on Thursday we will be heading of the BlackPool my favorite place theres a lot to do there so i reccomend it to everyone out there :)

whilst their i will be Filming the Trams with my HD camera :D so yeah there will be a video also i will be on the beach eating some BlackPool rock and you know the rest i also hope to go to The Tram Shop and buy a few model Trams but we will have to wait and see until next time.

yep thats right folks im going HD but why is the question well let me explain the story in full.

since December 2010 i was giving a Samsung SMX-C20 for my Birthday and up to this point i have been using it despite the fact i had to convert every thing i made with it to make into a video to cap it off whenever i placed the camera on a flat surface i had to balance it on a random object in order to film plus it would regulary play up in i zoomed in on things and would take ages to focus >:(

however recently the camera broke and i was unable to film things so it was taken Back to Argos for another one.But i came home today from School only to realize that they don't have them in anymore so instead i was given a different camera i said it better be good and now im as happy as can be as its the DZ- HV575E which is a HD camera

im just speechless at this since i can now have HD videos im now just dying to go out and film stuff but sadly i can't just yet. starting from the next video all will be filmed in Full HD may still have to convert the videos but im just literally pleased with this no more camera blancing or bad focus and converting all photos and videos time to celebrate i thing.

and if you don't believe me then you can think what you like it would be incredibly pointless to take a photo of the box or the camera just to prove it but all i will say is wait until the next video ;)

Project: Restoring Ivatt 2-6-2T Tank Engine 41221 part 1

in this 2 part Blog we well be telling the stories of an engines overhaul and return to service this engine is not new it is old i've had it since 2007 and been out of service since then and is none other that a Bachmann Ivatt 2-6-2T Tank Engine in BR Black livery and numbered 41221

First bought in 2007 from Modellers Mecca i obtained this model second hand and ran well and did me for several months until its fate approached!

as you can clearly see here the wheelset has broke to you it may be nothing but you ain't seen nothing yet

when ever it was picked up the wheels would fall out with the siderods still intact :(

if you look where there's a red arrow you should see a gaping hole this is because the white plastic thing round the axles has broke and split in two and obvious repair however we are working to restore and return it to former glory so lets get started on the proper thing

we sent off for a wheelset from the Bachmann repair service and the delivery was quick LOL here we see the fresh and smart looking new wheelset.

here are the bogies only one can be used as the front one is damaged but don't worry we have sent off for another aswell as some other things.

first we had to disconnect the siderods the go the the broken wheels as you can clearly see!

the underframe part was removed the get the wheels out note you may spot some greae on it!

we had to look at the connecting rods on my other Ivatt to put them on right on 41221 this ivatt in the photo is 41218

the new wheelset is finally placed in.

time for a break and i enjoy this big slice of Pizza :D

and they are connected up on the otherside aswell of course

the bodyshell is put back on now we are getting some where

we fit the spring back on the front and solder the wires up ready to put the new front bogie on when it comes

this aint nothing to do with my Hornby Grid class 56 but to do with a real class 56!

thats right this year in October we may be visiting The Nene Valley Railway (not decided yet) and the have announced (though subject to avalibility or something like that) that a ARTEMIS class 56 from BARS will be one of the guest locos appearing for the gala andif we go which hopefully we may it will be the first time since a class 56 has appeared on my channel since either 2009 so thats good : D

just thought it was high time i gave out some news and do another blog since i last did one last week so here we go =)

first off all i get an extra two days of school (YESSSSS!!!!!) i was actually meant to go back today but going to the school they said we wern't to go back to Thursday so thats a bonus considering my sister goes back tomorrow so i shall spend tomorrow at Nuneaton and some videos will follow.

plus i still have some upcoming a few from Yesterdays visit to Water Orton they aren't much but will do and a video of a DCR liveried class 31 (31601) in Bescot Yard is still to follow

as for Model Railways im working on a video of my Hornby class 56 West Burton PowerStation 56128 on a coal train some filming has been done today but more will commence tomorrow hopefully =)

plus also for reviews i have a Hornby class 50 arriving in the post from S&J Models the class 50 is called Agincourt no. 50013 so keep an eye out for that review cause that will be something well worth the wait ;)

Hornby Greseley LNER Teak Coaches arrive!!

Today a package arrived from Ebay what could it be? note the fact there is actually 13 stamps on the parcel.

many minutes and sore hands later i finally got this big peice of polesterine out of the parcel.

and this is what came out three LNER Greseley Teak coaches desgined by well who else but Sir Nigel Greseley himself!

here are the three Teak coaches all lined up they are actually split from a train pack though it is unknown to me

and here is the world famous 4472 Flying Scotsman herself coupled to the Teak coaches i know have a rake of four.

heres a closer shot of the Teak coaches note the class 86 in the background!

there is an easily notiable difference between these two Teaks see if you know what it is.

heres one of the three new Teaks i got today they all have plastic wheels as shown here

while this one which i have had for ages actually has metal wheels!

but besides the wheels they run beautifully and to prove that point here are some clips of my clas 86 and Flying Scotsman pulling them.

Hornby GWR Clerestory brake coach

recieved a package today from Ebay what could it be?.. well theres only one thing it can be

and that is my new GWR Clerestory brake coach to go with my other one seen above the box

its a beautiful coach and is a smooth runner indeed

while this coach as you can see has plastic wheels

the other coach has metal wheels as you can see here

other than the wheels there is no other differences apart from the fact the linning is darker and the things aboce the doors are painted but thats about it.

they are also the same length as one another :)

all the same its a very smooth runner no problems and i highly reccomend them i now have a full rake of GWR Clerestorys despit only having two but i don't plan to extend the rake.

Lima J50 Tank Engine update

just a blog to show you my Lima J50 tank engine which has had a slight touch up to it.

on one side of the j50 the silver paint on the handrails and worn off and since it had silver paint on the handrails on the other side of the loco i thought id paint the handrails silver to match by carefully lining up with Tamiya masking tape and using a tub of Humbrol silver paint not sure which number but it deffinately aint 21 thats for sure :p

i've also done the same thing to the smokebox door cearfully painting the rails on the front with the same number silver paint and i think it looks better like this don't you agree.

not only that but this loco makes a different noise now then it did when i first had it basically it happened when the loco stalled on some points and some smoke came out from it whilst making the day in the life of a j50 tank engine video so removing it from the points and putting it back on the mainline it has from then made that sound.

i'll leave you now with this lip of the j50 shunting some wagons and tell me what you think of the noise

Hornby LNER B12 61520 the new B12 and 8509 Apple Green B12 overlooks!

Well i did say i might do a Blog about this so im gonna i got this B12 yesterday in the mail after waiting two weeks at least to arrive from the seller Ray Mansfield model railways but only because only two people work there and they get very busy updating the site by putting new stuff up so i suppose we can't blame them

and this LNER B12 goes by the number 61520 as you can see :D

and to those who saw it as im sure most of you have cause it so far has 33 views you will know it is georgeous to those who haven't seen it i will show you what it has its previous owner hasdone touch ups to it i dare say!!!

first of all it has metal Buffers the type you would normally see on RailRoad items the front ones are painted silver while the back ones aren't it also has an actual proper hook with a small chain on aswell as all the details for the detailing pack have been added and it has white discs on the front which you usually get on the SR Region these are only held on with Blu Tak but i shall at some point glue them on.

the tender has also had weights put in it because it is very heavy

the rear shot of the tender as you can see it has a brake pipe which the previous owner has obviously put on since this loco never came with a pack also see the separate hand rails and lamp hooks on the tender buts thats what Hornby have put on not the previous owner

and as shown by these close up photos one the cab the have actually got windows inside which are pieces of plastic i had to glue one in cause it fell off in the packaging!

of course it has the details the Hornby have put on the whistle, the safety valves, lamp hooks and handrails

it also has no front coupling which is Ace cause i had no plans to actually use it plus the front bogie may have been altered because its not as swingy as the other B12 i have.

and it has crew inside. okay fair enough i added them in myself i painted them and weathered them though you can't see it to make the uniforms dirty and i glued them in i also have plans to put a frebox light in but whether i will actually do it or not aint deffinate yet but i probably will though :)

now here it is compared next two my other B12 8509 in LNER Apple green and let me just say this

its very very basic why their isn't a single detail on this one thats been put on seperately

a part from this pipe that comes down beside the side of the smokebox but it does not count because i added it on it was soldring wire cut to size painted gold and glued firmly in place.

and of course added crew done in the same method as the other the crew are painted weathered to mae uniforms dirty and glued in place only to try and perk it up a bit but 8509 is still basic so 61520 the new model that i got yesterday as far much better than this LNER Apple Green model!

fixing a problem of the Hornby B12

in this Blog im going to share a problem i recently fixed of my Hornby B12 which i've had for quite some time now.

well basically my Hornby B12 whislt running it yesterday made its final wheel turn (or so i thought) basically every time it wanted to move something was jamming it so it would get nowhere at all.

However having a further inspection one of the pins from the siderods had fallen out i was worried that she would never run again but me and my dad fixed the problem with a self tapping screw which has worked and the loco is running just fine as if the problem never happened . this image above shows the self tapping screw in place.
